Language of the review

Not published. I send the confirmation link to a contact I know from our work together (for example this address), so that nobody else can confirm the review.

The review will say “reference on request”. People who want to ask about our work write to me and I let you know; I pass your contact details on only with your agreement at that time, and they are never published.

I show it only if I send your confirmation link to an address in that domain and the domain belongs to the company you name. Domains of public e-mail services (gmail.com, outlook.com and the like) are never shown.

Privacy

Purpose and legal basis:
publishing your review on erikhorvath.com, checking our work together against my records and confirming the wording through a personal link; if you tick “reference on request”, also letting you know when someone asks about our work (I pass your contact details on only with your agreement at that time); based on your consent.
Published:
name, role, company, relationship, project and period, the review text and the month of confirmation; your e-mail domain and “reference on request” only if you tick them.
Not published:
your e-mail address; my records of our work.
E-mails and messages:
the site sends no automatic e-mails. I send you the confirmation link and the publication notice myself, by e-mail or through the channel we use to talk.
Processors:
Vercel Inc. (site hosting and the form) and GitHub, Inc. (storage in a private repository), both in the USA, transfers under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Zoho Corporation B.V., the Netherlands (my mailbox, stored in a US data centre; transfers under standard contractual clauses). If we write to each other through another service (for example Teams), its provider also processes the messages.
IP address:
processed briefly to protect the form from abuse and in the host’s operational logs; it is not stored with the review.
Retention:
an unconfirmed review is deleted no later than 21 days after it was sent; a confirmed review I do not publish, no later than 30 days after its last confirmation or edit; a published review, your e-mail address and the confirmation record (time, a copy of the personal link with the details it contains, and a fingerprint of the text) are kept until you withdraw consent; a rejected or withdrawn review is deleted together with the e-mail address.
Your rights:
access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection; you can complain to the Slovak data protection authority, Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR (dataprotection.gov.sk).
Withdrawing consent:
at any time through the link I send you when the review is published (valid for a year), or by e-mail to erik@erikhorvath.com; I remove the review from the site the same day and delete the original submission with your e-mail address.
